Gadhafi’s son Saadi Nike Air Huarache All Black , his special forces commander who fled abroad during Libya’s 2011 revolution, was imprisoned in Tripoli yesterday, after Niger agreed to send him back from house arrest there.


Saadi, who had a brief career as a soccer player in Italy and often lived the playboy life during his father’s rule, is the first of Gadhafi’s sons the central government has managed to arrest since the leader was overthrown.


Gadhafi’s more prominent son Saif al-Islam has been held captive by fighters in western Libya who refuse to hand him over to a government they deem too weak to secure and try him.


Eager to close another chapter from the four-decade Gadhafi rule Nike Air Huarache Blue , Tripoli had long been seeking the extradition of Saadi, who had fled to the southern neighbor by slipping over the sub-Saharan border after the uprising.


“The Libyan government received today Saadi Gadhafi and he arrived in Tripoli,” Prime Minister Ali Zeidan’s cabinet said in a statement that thanked Niger’s government for its help.


The government said Saadi, 40, would be treated according to international law.


Since escaping Libya Nike Air Huarache Red , he had been held under house arrest in the Niger capital Niamey. Libyan authorities believe he was active from there in fomenting unrest in southern Libyan.


Within an hour of the news of his arrival, a militia on the Libyan state payroll published photographs of an uncomfortable looking Saadi in a blue prison jumpsuit, kneeling while a guard shaved his beard and head with an electric razor.


Libyan state prosecutors are investigating Saadi for crimes in suppressing the eight-month uprising against his father, state news agency LANA said.


Tripoli also wants to try him for allegedly misappropriating property by force and for alleged armed intimidation when he headed the Libyan Football Federation.


Niger sources said Saadi was spirited into Libya on board a Libyan plane overnight, accompanied by Libyan security agents.


Saadi is not wanted by the International Criminal Court.

Sotnikova, 17, took gold ahead of 23-year-old Kim to become the first Russian to win gold in ladies free skating on Thursday.


The KSU issued a statement on Friday saying it had met with International Skating Union (ISU) President Ottavio Cinquanta of Italy and "officially requested to confirm whether the figure skating ladies single competition was held fairly based on the ISU's regulations and procedures".


Mark Adams, the International Olympic Committee's director of communications, said South Korea's reaction as a "protest letter" and said it was a matter for the skating union.


More than 1.7 million people have signed an online petition calling for an investigation into the scoring.


Although the majority of the signatures have come from Kim's homeland of South Korea Nike Air Huarache Triple Black , the Koreans are not alone in being unhappy with judging in figure skating at the Sochi Games.


United States skater Ashley Wwagner, who finished seventh in the ladies competition, said she felt cheated by the scoring of her performance after completing two programs without any major hitches or falls.


Calling for an end to anonymous judging, she said: "People don't want to see as sport where you see people fall down and somehow score above someone who goes clean."


PARIS, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Disgraced former Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong will return to the world top road cycling race to ride two stages in the Massif Central region in July.


The 43-year-old Texan will join fellow cancer survivor and former England footballer Geoff Thomas Nike Air Huarache White , together with his team of 10 amateur riders in a charity race following the Tour route.


Thomas and his team are attempting to cycle each of the 21 stages a day before the professsional race in a bid to raise one million pounds (about 1.58 million U.S. dollars) for his Cure Leukaemia foundation.


Armstrong, who was stripped of his seven Tour titles and banned from organized sport for life for doping in 2012, will ride the 13th and 14th stages respectively on July 16 and 17 from Muret to Rodez and then to Mende, each a 178.5km ride.


"This is a charity bike ride, but we know Lance's involvement in Le Tour has split opinion Nike Air Huarache Black , so we've tried to be as respectful as possible to the Tour de France itself in terms of the stages he will be riding," said Thomas.

MADRID, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Motorcyclist Enric Sauri, who was riding with the Motos Gaspar team Cheap Air Huarache , died on Saturday while participating in the Cataluna 24 Hours race which was being held at the Montmelo race circuit just outside of Barcelona, race organizers confirmed.


The 33-year-old Sauri died when his motorbike went off the circuit on the first corner and he collided with the crash barriers.


"The rider went off the track... suffering multiple critical injuries and his situation of instability obliged him to be driven to the General Hospital in Granollers (a nearby town)," explained race organizers in a communique.


"The Barcelona-Catalonia circuit profoundly laments the loss of Enric Sauri and we transmit out deep regrets to his family, friends and team," continues the communique.
