Activists march for equality
Thousands of gay rights activists took to the streets Sunday during the National Equality March in Washington
Good Replica Cartier Love Ring Pink Gold, calling for equality in marriage and an end to the "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
iReport user clarasimoni, who captured dramatic images, said it was "an amazing feeling to be among all of those people who we fighting for their right of expression."
"They were nice, excited, boisterous and joyful," said iReporter Qbubbles of the activists. "They didn't seem angry so much as anxious for something to happen."
"The whole town has been buzzing," said iReporter EricaAmerica, who grabbed her camera and spoke to activists crowding outside The White House, many of whom had traveled out of state to take part in the march. and equality in marriage
themou Why are people concerned with how others live their lives? You have to admit that it would be frustrating to be told you are disgusting, sinful, and hated, right? And it would be frustrating to be discriminated against, and not protected under many laws in many states. It would be frustrating to know that you do not have equal rights and cannot have your own wedding day like your parents, brothers, sisters and friends had.
To be honest, the LGBT community SHOULD be mad. They SHOULD be outraged. Everyone has the right to keep their own opinion but why stand in someone's way, someone who is not directly affecting you and your life? I just don't get why straight people care so much.
I agree with you that no LGBT member should fire back with insults hatred but why do WE get pounded with insults hatred?Until a person disagrees with their lifestyle then the homosexual seems to think he or she has every right to pound them with insults and hatred.
Some people can let verbal insults roll off their backs. Physical attacks are harder to deal with. Last week, a Senator arguing against the Matthew Shepard Act, stated that homosexuality is equal to bestiality, pedophilia and worse. Am I wrong in calling this guy a bigot or ignorant homophobe? This is an elected leader. Or do I continue to just pay my taxes and stay quiet like a good second class citizen?
Here's the i report I uploaded today that got deleted immediately.
I'm not even bothering to record a video for this I report, since none of the ones I've done have ever been aired on CNN. What's the point when your videos just get pushed back to the bottom of the last page and only 20 people get to see them? I have a legitimate complaint about the methodology CNN uses to select which I reports make it on air
Best Replica Cartier Love Necklace, and which ones do not. Here's what I've noticed:
If you are under 25, gay and male, and willing to talk about anything other than gay rights, it appears that you have a way better chance of getting your I report aired on CNN
Replica Cartier Love Necklace Yellow. If you don't believe me, check out KyleHD and Naked Boy News. These guys have had more I reports aired on CNN than just about anybody. Are they more talented? No. Are they adding anything new to the stories they report? No. So what is it about their reports, or them, that makes someone at CNN go gaga and put a red stamp on so many of their I reports? I think it's pretty obvious. If this I report gets deleted, it will be even more confirmation of my suspicions that someone at CNN is more interested in twinks than the news. Here's something else I find odd. In recent weeks, I've been receiving e mails from KyleHD. Apparently, he started a group of I reporters in Chicagoland, and he took the liberty of finding my e mail address and adding me to his mailing list. In case you missed the last meeting, Darrell invited us to the opening of his new art gallery exhibit which is in the west loop. After we are heading up to Friar Tuck up in the Lakeview neighborhood.
I figured we should at least somewhat have a topic for each meeting, at least to start with, so this meeting/hang out we're gonna talk about 2 things.
1. Where would you like to see this group go? What will keep you interested?
2. The public view on citizen journalism. become more appealing to our readers/viewers?
So there ya go! Hope you all can make it!
Darrell's gallery is at 835 W. Washington, Chicago and is open from 5 8pm. Then we'll plan on meeting around 8:30ish at Friar Tuck which is located at 3010 N Broadway St in Chicago, IL. I find it a bit shady that this meeting took place in the gayest part of town. I have to wonder how many other I reporters have received communications from Mr. Rodgers. I also have to wonder how KyleHD made it to the CNN studio in Atlanta a few months ago to appear on a live interview with Tony Harris? Who paid for Kyle's flight to Atlanta? What makes him so amazing that he can receive such special treatment while the rest of us watch our I reports go down the drain?
KyleHD recently dropped this group like a hot potato when a sudden job offer landed him in Seattle for a "social networking PR job". Any other I reporters getting job offers out there? And why is Kyle reporting on his new job while completely neglecting to mention the name of the company that hired him? After all, he claims to be the new face of this company in social networking.
If this I report mysteriously disappears from this site, I will simply send it to Fox News and ask what they think about all this. It's all too fishy to ignore. I think it's time for all I reporters to ask themselves if it's even worth the effort of uploading to this site when people who are young, gay and under 25 seem to be dominating the airwaves, while so many really worthy reports are being ignored. I will be forwarding a copy of this report to the management of CNN for their consideration as well. I think this Mr. Rodgers might have some explaining to do to someone. I might not complain so adamantly it if these boys were getting airtime for speaking out about the lack of rights of GLBT people, but a quick review of Naked Boy News' uploads clearly shows that CNN isn't interested in his opinions on gay issues. It's as though they are being enlisted into the ranks of the many closet case reporters whose opinions only count when they do not expose the hypocrisy of the mainstream media which conspires to silence the voices of GLBT people all across America. Keep an eye out for more, on air, reports from their latest Twink DuJour Jason Verlaine. He's uploaded seven I reports and two of them have been aired. I'm not outting anybody. These guys are all well known to the gay community online.
How's that for investigative reporting? It's only news when you get the full story friends. It's time to bring reality to TV.
